Mahigit 300 illegal aliens ang nakatakdang ipa-deport ng joint operatives ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) matapos maaresto sa Bamban, Tarlac.
Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, kabuuang 332 na mga banyaga ang mga nahuling nagtatrabahong walang kaukulang mga dokumento.
Sinabi ni Morente na nakatanggap ang mga ito ng impormasyon mula sa NBI-International Operations Division kaugnay ng worksite sa Pag-asa Street, Barangay Dela Cruz, Bamban, Tarlac.
Sinasabing nasa 200 daw sa mga ito ang 200 undocumented aliens.
“Upon investigation and verification with our agents, we immediately issued a mission order to effect their arrest,” ani Morente.
Sa isinagawang operasyon, nahuli ng BI at NBI ang 323 Chinese nationals, walong Malaysian nationals at isang Indonesian na nagtatrabago sa nagnenegosyo ng mga computers, cellular phones at iba pang electronic devices na walang kaukulang visa.
“They were reportedly involved in online gambling, internet fraud, and cybercrime operations,” said Morente. “They were conducting clandestine operations. Their worksite was in a compound that was under construction, and they didn’t leave the premises as they already have their barracks there,” dagdag ni Morente.
