KALIBO, Aklan — Filipinos in Israel remain calm and safe following Iran’s missile attack.
According to Melly Jean Novilla, Bombo International Correspondent in Tel Aviv, many areas in Israel have designated “protected spaces” where citizens can take shelter from ballistic missiles launched by Iran.
Novilla witnessed missiles flying through the sky, which were successfully intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.
She described the constant sounds of alarms signaling people to take cover in bomb shelters.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy issued an advisory urging Filipinos to follow the instructions from Israel’s Home Front Command.
It was reported that the missile attack from Iran was in retaliation for Israel’s military campaign against Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.
