Hawak na ngayon ng PNP ang suspek na namaril sa Ateneo de Manila University sa Quezon City.
Kinilala ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ang suspek na si Dr. Chao Tiao Yumol, 38, at residente ng Basilan.
Ang mga namatay naman ay sina Rosita Furigay, dating alkalde ng Lamitan City sa Basilan province; Victor George Capistrano, executive assistant ni Furigay at Bandiola Jeneven.
Sa mga lumabas na impormasyon dadalo sana ang dating alkalde sa graduation ng kanyang anak na si Hannait.
Si Hannait ay kasalukuyan namang ginagamot ngayon sa ospital.
“The PNP (Philippine National Police) immediately responded to the scene of the incident and the gunman was arrested right away. Probe is ongoing and appropriate charges will be filed against the suspect. PNP OIC (Officer-in-Charge) Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. assures everyone that the PNP is on top of the situation and stiffer security measures are being implemented especially in Quezon City and the rest of Metro Manila,” ayon pa sa PNP sa isang statement.
