The Department of Health (DOH) has started recruiting personnel to be deployed in specialty centers to be built in identified hospitals in the regions.

DOH spokesperson Undersecretary Eric Tayag said that they are recruiting health workers early so that they will be ready when the specialty centers are completed.

He said the Philippine Heart Center is accepting health workers to be trained and assigned to specialty center areas.

The DOH previously announced the plan to establish a medical specialty center in each region within five years.

The said agency ensured that the establishment of specialty hospitals will follow the guidelines in planning and prioritizing health facilities.

These facilities will provide quality health services through the use of trained personnel and medical specialists as well as appropriate equipment.
