Hindi isinasantabi ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla ang posibilidad na tumakbo siya sa pagkapangulo sa 2028 elections.
Subalit iginiit ng kalihim na wala pa siyang pinal na desisyon hinggil dito.
Aniya, ilan sa kaniyang ikokonsidera sa posibleng pagtakbo niya sa 2028 presidential elections ay kung papayag ang kaniyang maybahay, pangalawa kung ito ay magiging “one-on-one” fight o two-way battle.
Nang matanong kung ito ay one-on-one fight kay VP Sara Duterte, na nauna na ring nagpahiwatig ng posibilidad na tatakbo sa 2028, tugon ni Remulla na kung hindi aniya siya, maaaring sina DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon o Senator Chiz Escudero.
“I think it should be a dichotomy – the Philippines will have to choose between one version of how to govern and one version of the truth,” he said. “The Philippines has to choose a common future that they think is believable. The voters have to be shown a contrast between the two candidates. I think that is important,” paliwanag ni Remulla.
