Inanunsyo ni Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ang $1 billion loan na iaalok ng China sa Latin America at Carribean para sa kanilang COVID-19 vaccine access.

Sa isinagawang virtual gathering ay inihayag ni Wang ang magandang balita kasama ang kaniyang Latin American counterparts.

Ayon sa foreign minister ng China, ang COVID-19 vaccine na dini-develop sa kaniyang bansa ay malaki ang maiaambag sa publiko at maging sa buong mundo. Dahil dito ay napagdesisyunan ng China ang loan na nagkakahalaga ng $1-billion (P50-billion) para suportahan ang access ng mga bansa sa naturang bakuna.

Labis naman ang pasasalamat ni Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador sa China. “We’re very grateful to China, with the Chinese government, the President — you remember I had the chance to speak to him on the phone — we asked him for support with medical equipment, there have been many aid flights coming from China.”

“There’s always been enough equipment supply, medicines, and now there is this offer,” dagdag pa nito.

Ang naturang virtual meeting ay pinangunahan ni Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Minster Marcelo Ebrard at Wang Yi, katuwan ang kanilang counterparts mula Argentina, Barbados, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago at Uruguay.
