Tiniyak ni House Appropriations Committee Chairman at Ako Bicol Rep. Elizaldy Co magiging komprehensibo at transparent ang pagtalakay sa 2024 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) na nasa P5.768 trillion.
Siniguro ni Rep. Co na magiging transparent ang pagtalakay sa nasabing pondo upang mabatid ng publiko kung saan at paano ito ginagastos ng ibat ibang ahensiya ng pamahalaan.
“Transparency is more than a mere term; it is a fundamental commitment. The public has the right to know how their resources are being allocated, and it is our duty to provide that information,” pahayag ni Rep. Co.
Binigyang-diin ni Co na ang panukalang 2024 national budget ay magsisilbing pundasyon para sa sustainable development, inclusive growth, at matatag na serbisyo publiko.
“Our overarching aim is to formulate a budget that serves both the immediate needs and long-term ambitions of our nation. This budget will serve as a cornerstone for sustainable development, inclusive growth, and robust public services,” dagdag pa ni Co.
Giit ng Partylist solon, nakahanda na ang komite na gawin ang kanilang mahalagang tungkulin na busisiin ang 2024 GAB ay sumasalamin sa aspirasyon ng ng bansa.
Target ng Kamara na matapos ang plenary debates sa September 27,2023.
Magugunita na nuong August 10,2024 sinimulan ang budget deliberation sa committee level.
