Nineteen year old Yang Hansen a chinese NBA draft shows off his IQ and solid passing ability at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago at the Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis last May 14, 2025.
It can be recalled that NBA announced 75 players invited to participate at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine from May 11-18.
“He really feels happiness here… he’s really willing to compete with everyone and against everyone. He really enjoyed that.” Chris Liu, Yang’s interpreter said.
“Yao Ming is my predecessor … I have always respected him. I want to learn from him.” Yang revealed when asked about fellow chinese NBA superstar Yao Ming.
Yang averaged 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game in the Chinese Basketball Association in the past season.
There are observers who notice Yang’s ability is similar to Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic.
As of this writing, the NBA Draft Combine is still ongoing where athletic tests including a standing vertical jump, maximum vertical jump, bench press, three-quarter-court sprint time, lane agility time, and modified event time are being observed.
