The Los Angeles Lakers have already started their move to turn things around in the 2022-23 NBA season.

The purple and gold successfully traded for Rui Hachimura from the Washington Wizards, which sent Kendrick Nunn and three future second-round picks to D.C.

The Lakers have officially welcomed the 24-year-old Japanese.

Hachimura, standing at 6’8′, was drafted 9th overall by the Wizards in 2019 and spent four years with them.

Before the trade, he averaged 13.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. He dropped 30 points in his last game as a Wizard.

However, his status remained day-to-day as of writing, and it is not yet confirmed if he will be able to play in the next Lakers game, which will be a battle of LAs.

Hachimura will add height and flexibility to the Lakers as they continue to miss the service of Anthony Davis.

The Lakers are currently out of the picture in the playoffs. And even in the play-in tournament, they sit at the 12th spot out West.
