President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared a State of National Calamity in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) and the looming threat of Super Typhoon Uwan.
Following this declaration, the Office of the President released P760 million in financial assistance to provinces and cities severely affected by the typhoon.

Capiz
Surigao del Norte
Eastern Samar
Leyte
Albay
Laguna
Cities that received aid:
Manila
Zamboanga
Iligan (Lanao del Norte)
The declaration was based on the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to expedite government response and ensure the delivery of essential services to affected communities.
The financial aid aims to support local governments in relief operations, rehabilitation efforts, and disaster preparedness.
