Hawak na ngayon ng Bureau of Customs sa pamamagitan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Port of Manila Field Office (BOC-CIIS-POM) ang ilang kontrabando at ukay-ukay items na nagkakahalaga ng P500 million sa Valenzuela City.
Una rito, nagsagawa ang BoC ng inspection sa warehousena matatagpuan sa 2 E. San Andres St., cor. T. Santiago St., Canumay West, Valenzuela City sa pamamagitan ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na inisyu ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.
Tumambad sa mga otoridad ang mga gamit nang damit o ukay-ukay, power banks, face masks, mga apparel na mayroong sikat na brand, pipe fittings, carpet rolls, refrigerant, caustic soda flakes, Lushika o box ng mga jewelries at relo.
Nagpapatuloy naman ang imbestigasyon at inventory sa mga nasabat na kontrabando dahil sa posibilidad na paglabag sa Section 1114 ng RA 10863 o mas kilalang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.
Katuwang ng BoC sa pagsasagawa ng operasyon ang team na kinabibilangan ng mga personnel mula sa CIIS-Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
