Tuluyan nang ibinasura ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang motion for reconsideration (MR) na humihiling na ideklarang nuisance candidate si presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa 2022 presidential election.
Sa isang resolusyon, sinabi ng poll body na bigo umanong makapaglatag ng bagong argumento si Danilo Lihayhay kaugnay ng kanyang apela.
“WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, the Commission (en banc) DENIES Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration dated 22 December 2021 and AFFIRMS the Resolution of the Commission (Second Division) promulgated on 16 December 2021,” base pa sa resolusyon.
Pinagdesisyunan ng Comelec en banc ang hakbang nila noong May 11.
Ang petition ay inihain ni Lihaylihay sa Comelec Second Division noong December 16, 2021.
Ibinasura naman ito ng former Second Division noong December 16, 2021.
Pirmado ito nina Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan, Commissioners Socorro Inting, Marlon Casquejo, Aimee Ferolino, Rey Bulay at Aimee Torrefranca-Neri.
Gaya ng naunang desisyon sa disqualification ni Marcos, nag-inhibit din dito si Commissioner George Erwin Garcia.
Si Garcia kasi ay dating counsel ni Marcos sa kanyang poll protest noong 2016 vice presidential race.
