Dame Time in South Beach. Apparently, this is the only destination Damian Lillard wants to be in next after he requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.
According to Sams Charania’s report, Lillard rejected offers from two title contenders; the Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics.
But while he made it known where he wanted to play with Jimmy Butler in the Miami Heat, his team wouldn’t let it happen so easily.
“We’re going to be patient. We’re going to do what’s best for our team. We’re going to see how this lands. And if it takes months, it takes months,” said Portland’s general manager Joe Cronin as the Blazers have total control with Lillard’s no-trade clause.
What’s to unfold remains a mystery as of this writing.
