Nahaharap sa reklamong falsification of documents si Leyte Rep. Lolita Javier dahil sa mga maling impormasyon na nilagay umano nito sa kanyang inihain na certificate of candidacy (COC) sa pagtakbo bilang kongresista.
Batay sa reklamong inihain ng kalaban ni Javier na si dating Rep. Henry Ong si Office of the Ombudsman, hindi pa naaprubahan ang registration ng kongresista bilang botante nang mag-file ito ng COC noong October 17, 2018.
Bukod dito, hindi rin daw tugma ang impormasyon ni Javier sa kanyang residency.
Nakalagay daw kasi COC ni Javier na 44-taon na siyang residente ng Jaro, Leyte pero sa voter’s registration nito ay 43-taon lang.
Kataka-taka umano na first time voter ang kongresista sa bayan na kanyang tinirhan sa loob ng higit apat na dekada, gayundin na alkalde ang asawa nito sa hiwalay na distrito ng lalawigan.
“Ong also noted that Javier’s voter registration was as a first time voter in a town where she had been a resident for over 40 years and that Javier’s husband, Leonardo Javier, was then mayor of the Municipality of Javier in the first district of Leyte,” nakasaad sa reklamong inihain ng kampo ni Ong.
“It is quite perplexing as to how a publicly recognized married couple such as Lolita and Leonardo were allowed to assume their previous and current official positions despite the stark difference in their places of residence.”
