Hindi umabot ng 10 minuto ang budget briefing ng Office of the President (OP) na nagsimula kaninang alas-9:00 ng umaga.
Ito ay kasunod ng pag-mosyon ni Majority Leader Rep. Mannix Dalipe na i-terminate ang budget briefing bilang kortesiya sa ehekutibo na co-equal branch.
Nasa Kabuuang P9.031 billion pesos ang panukalang budget ng Office of the President (OP) para sa susunod na taon.
Malaking bahagi ng budget ng tanggapan ng pangulo ay para sa maintenance at iba pang operating expenses o MOOE na nagkakahalaga ng P6.87-billion.
Nasa P1.56-billion naman ang inilaan para sa Personal Services habang P590 million ang para sa Capital Outlay.
Tumaas ang personnel services dahil sa increase sa premium contribution sa Philhealth, pagpapatupad ng Salary Standardization Law at pagpuno sa mga bakanteng planitlla position.
Nagkaroon din ng increase sa MOOE dahil para sa travel expenses dahil sa unti-unting pagbubukas ng travel restrictions.
Sa panig naman ng OP, ipinaabot ni Executive Sec. Vic Rodriguez ang pasasalamat sa suprota ng mga mambabatas.
Asahan aniya na kaisa sila sa pagtataguyod ng kapakanan ng mga Pilipino at nation building.

Samantala, nagbanta naman ang house minority group sa pangunguna ni kabataan partylist Representative Raoul Manuel na bubusisiin nila ang budget ng office of the president pagdating nito sa plenaryo.
