Umapela si National Task Force Against COVID-19 chief implementer Carlito G. Galvez Jr. sa mga kapwa opisyal ng gobyerno para mapabuti pa ang bed capacity sa mga ospital ngayong pandemic.

“We need to use this pandemic to accelerate universalization of our healthcare system. The ICUs remain the same because the non-COVID cases are always there,” ani Galvez.

Ayon sa Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, nagkasundo ang mga opisyal sa pagbalangkas ng National Action Plan Phase 3 habang nasa pagpupulong sa Baguio City nitong weekend.

Hinimok dion ng task force chief ang mga opisyal na huwag nang ikonsidera ang home quarantine dahil pinapalala lang nito ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.

“No home quarantine should be the rule rather than the exemption. There shall be very strict conditions that must be complied for home quarantine to be allowed.”

Sa ilalim ng NAP Phase 3 asahan umano ang sabay na pagbangon ng ekonomiya at patuloy na pakikipaglaban sa pandemic.

“We need to continue to recalibrate our efforts according to the needs of local government units, the private sector and the general public. So, we have to find ways to be creative so that our policies are not stringent.”

Binigyang diin ni National Incident Command-National Task Force Against COVID-19 Usec. Isidro L. Purisima, na dapat maramdaman ng publiko ang mas pinagting pang mga plano para sa ekonomiya at kalusugan.

“The question we need to address is ‘yong impact ng ating NAP to the ordinary people. It should be people-centered, nationally-supported, and locally-led.”
