MANILA – Nag-abiso ang Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) sa mga residente ng Caraga at Davao region hinggil sa inaasahang ulan dulot ni Tropical Depression “Dante.”
Batay sa pinakabagong tropical cyclone bulletin ng ahensya, nakasaad na posibleng makaranas ng “light to moderate with at times heavy rains” sa naturang mga rehiyon.
Dulot daw ito ng “outer rainbands” ng sama ng panahon.
Ibig sabihin, posibleng makaranas ng baha at lanslide ang ilang lugar dahil sa kalat-kalat na pag-ulan.
“Adjacent or nearby areas may also experience flooding in the absence of such rainfall occurrence due to
surface runoff or swelling of river channels.”
Ayon sa Pagasa, malaki ang tsansa na bagong Tropical Storm ang kategorya ni “Dante” bukas ng umaga, at posibleng lumakas pa pagdating ng Miyerkules.
“By Wednesday evening, “DANTE” is forecast to weaken into a Tropical
Depression and will become a remnant Low on Friday.”
Huling namataan ang sama ng panahon sa layong 835-kilometers Silangan ng Mindanao.
May lakas ito ng hangin na 55-kilometers per hour, at pagbugsonng 70-kilometers per hour.
Kumikilos si “Dante” sa direksyong Northwest sa bilis na 15-kilometers per hour.
“On the forecast track, the tropical depression is forecast to continue moving northwestward until Wednesday
evening before turning north northeastward for the rest of the forecast period.”
