Mismong si Vice President Leni Robredo ang nanguna sa groundbreaking at launching ng programang pabahay ng kanyang tanggapan sa mga residenteng nawalan ng tirahan dahil sa sunod-sunod na bagyo noong nakaraang buwan.

“The housing initiative aims to help those who lived in danger zones as they start over, this time in safer homes,” ayon sa Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Sa ilalim ng BAHAYnihan initiative, naging katuwang ng OVP ang pribadong sektor at lokal na pamahalaan ng Guinobatan, Albay para maitayo ang unang site ng programa sa Brgy. Mauraro.
Kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ng pabahay ay ang mga residenteng sinalanta ng lahar flow dulot ng Super Typhoon Rolly.
“In keeping with the bayanihan spirit, the residents are also part of efforts to construct the houses in the relocation site, which is provided by the local government of Guinobatan.”

Magugunitang nag-abot din ng relief goods ang tanggapan ni Robredo sa mga residente ng Bicol region na naapektuhan ng magkakasunod na bagyong Quinta, Rolly, Tisoy, at Ulysses.
Pati na ang Cagayan region na nalubog sa baha dulot ng bagyo at pagpapakawala ng tubig ng Magat Dam.
Ayon kay Robredo, target din ipatupad ng OVP ang BAHAYnihan sa iba pang lugar sa bansa kung saan may mga residenteng nawalan ng tirahan dahil sa mga nagdaang kalamidad.
