Nangako ng suporta si Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade sa bagong talagang commander ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na si Vice Admiral George Ursubia.
Nitong araw nang pormal na iharap ni Tugade si Ursubia sa mga opisyal ng Department of Transportation bilang bagong pinuno ng PCG, na pumalit sa nag-retirong si Admiral Joel Garcia.
“I am presenting formally and officially the newest guy. From a distance, sir, I have been watching you. We welcome you to the Department of Transportation.”
“This is your home. Together, we will realize your dreams. And together you will help us realize your dreams.”
Nagpasalamat naman si Ursubia sa mainit na pagtanggap sa kanya ng Transportation officials.
“Indeed, there is no greater challenge than to be in public service. Rest assured that as I assume the helm of the Philippine Coast Guard, it will be a complete dedication to God, the Filipino people and the nation,” ani Ursubia.
Tumanaw naman ng pasasalamat si Tugade kay Garcia at sa mga naging ambang nito sa sektor ng maritime transportation.
Sa kanyang mensahe ng paalam, nagbigay pugay si Garcia sa mga nakatrabahong opisyal sa DOTr, kasabay nang pagpapasa ng bagong tungkulin kay Ursubia.
