Labis na ikinalungkot ng Malacañang ang nangyaring trahedya sa pagguho ng dini-demolish na Hotel Sogo sa Maynila na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng dalawang construction workers.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, iniutos na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagsasagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon.
Ayon kay Sec. Panelo, partikular na inatasan ng Malacañang ang mga concerned agencies na makipag-ugnayan sa city government ng Manila at Manila City Engineering Office para sa pagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon para malaman kung sino ang may pananagutan.
Kasunod nito, pinuri ng Malacañang ang maagap na pagresponde ni Manila City Mayor “Isko” Moreno sa crash site.
“We are shocked and saddened by the collapse of a portion of Sogo Hotel in Malate, Manila which left two workers dead,” ani Sec. Panelo. “President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has already ordered a thorough investigation and we ask concerned authorities to coordinate with the City Government of Manila, particularly the Manila City Engineering Office, for the conduct of the probe.”
