Nag-abiso ang pamunuan ng North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation dahil sa nakatakdang increase sa toll rate ng Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

Ayon sa NLEX, madadagdagan ng P0.51 ang toll rate sa kada kilometro ng SCTEX.

Ito’y bunsod ng approval sa petisyon inihain ng korporasyon sa Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) noon pang 2011.

Sa ilalim ng toll adjustments, dagdag P20 na ang ibabayad ng mga sasakyang Class 1 na bibiyahe mula Mabalacat, Pampanga patungong Tarlac. Sa Class 2 naman ay P40, habang P60 sa Class 3.

Samantala para sa mga bibiyahe mula Mabalacat patungong Subic, dagdag P32 sa Class 1; P66 sa Class 2; at P98 sa Class 3 vehicles.

Magsisimulang maningil ang toll gates ng SCTEX sa umento ng rates mula June 14 ng hatinggabi.

“Since 2015, BCDA and NLEx Corp. have invested in various enhancement projects in the high standard expressway to maintain motorist safety and convenience.”

“To improve 24/7 traffic monitoring and provision of roadside services, a modern traffic control room (TCR), with CCTV cameras and radio communications, was built in Mabalacat City. To enhance motorists’ safety, LED highway lights, emergency call boxes, crash cushions, and reflective delineator plates were also installed in key areas of the expressway.”
