The Los Angeles Lakers are advancing into the second round of the West playoffs after destroying the Memphis Grizzlies, 125-85, in Game 6.

D’Angelo Russell dropped a timely career-high of 31 points along with two boards, four assists and a +27 efficiency as the Lakers finished the series, 4-2.

They started the game with a big run and they never looked back. The peak of the Lakers was in the third frame, dropping 41 points to expand the lead out of Memphis’ reach.

LeBron James added 22 points while Anthony Davis had a double-double of 16 points and 14 boards.

The squad shot an overall 53.8% from the field compared to the 30.2 percent shooting of the young Grizzlies.

Defense was another key in Game 6 as they only limited Ja Morant to 10 points on 3-out-of-16 shooting.

The purple and gold now awaits the winner of Golden State and Sacramento in Game 7.
