Inihayag ni House Ways and Means Chair at Albay Representative Joey Sarte Salceda na kaniyang irerekumenda na i-adopt ng House plenary ang Senate version ng Estate Tax Amnesty extension bill sa sandaling maaprubahan ito sa 3rd and final reading.
“No more bicam for that one. No need, anyway,” pahayag ni Salceda.
Sa provision ng version ng Kamara,pinalawig ang Estate Tax Amnesty hanggang June 2025.
Ang bersyon ng Senado ay nagbibigay din ng elektronikong paghahain ng mga aplikasyon para sa amnesty ng buwis sa ari-arian, at nililimitahan ang bilang ng mga dokumentong kinakailangan para sa paghahain.
Batay sa pag estimate ni Salceda nasa 920,000 Filipino families ay mayruong unsettled estates ang mag benefits sa amnesty.
“The amnesty is also consistent with the full estate tax forgiveness envisioned under the New Agrarian Emancipation Act, set to be PBBM’s most significant legislative accomplishment on his first year,” paliwanag ni Salceda.
Dagdag pa ng economist solon, “We will get what we want – enactment before SONA. And they will get what they want: their additional provisions. All’s well that ends well. A congressional majority working for the people.”
