CENTRAL MINDANAO – Matagumpay na nailunsad ang proyektong “Access to Legal Identity and Social Services for Decommissioned Combatants (ALIAS DC) at Programme on Assistance for Camp Transformation through Inclusion, Violence Prevention, and Economic Empowerment (PROACTIVE) sa kampo ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) ang Camp Darapanan sa Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Layunin ng proyekto na matulungan ang mga decommissioned combatants ng MILF at ang kanilang mga pamilya na maging mas produktibong myembro ng lipunan.
Naging unang hakbang ng proyekto ang civil registration project kung saan, tinatayang 50 decommissioned combatants ang nabigyan ng birth certificates.
Ayon kay Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, Reconcilation and Unity (OPAPRU) Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., napakahalaga nito para magkaroon ng legal identity ang mga decommissioned combatants at matamasa ang pangunahing serbisyo ng pamahalaan.
Samantala, naging panauhin rin ng programa ang mga katuwang ng BARMM sa representante ng Initiative for Dialogue and Empowerment through Alternative Legal Services, Inc (IDEALS, Inc.), United Nations Development Programme, European Union in the Philippines, Miserior, Australian Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade,The Asia Foundation at Task Force for Decommissioned Combatants and their Communities.
