Naglabas ng memorandum ang pamunuan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) batay sa kautusan ni PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos hinggil sa kanilang Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) kaugnay sa kanilang Contact Tracing, Quarantine at RT-PCR Testing para sa kanilang mga police personnel.
Ito ay kasunod sa patuloy na pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases hindi lamang sa PNP kundi sa buong bansa.
Ang nasabing memorandum ay inilabas noong December 31,2021 ni Lt.Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, ang Acting Chief Directorial Staff (TACDS) at pirmado ni PNP chief.
Ayon kay PNP Deputy Chief for Administration (TDCA) at ASCOTF commander Lt.Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz, sa nasabing memorandum pinaalalahanan ang mga police commanders na istriktong sundin ng mga personnel ang minimum public health standard gaya ng pagsusuot ng facemask, physical distancing, regular sanitation at disinfection sa mga work places, daily health check and assessment sa lahat ng personnel at “extensive internal contact tracing by office.”
“Yes Anne. We have already reiterated our SOPs and policies on contact tracing, quarantine/isolation and conduct of RTPCR testing among our personnel based on the guidance of our CPNP,PGen. Dionardo Carlos,” mensahe ni Lt.Gen. Vera Cruz sa Bombo Radyo.
Sinabi ni Vera Cruz, nais ni PNP chief na i-reiterate sa kanilang mga tauhan ang protocols sa COVID-19 para mapigilan ang pagtaas ng cases sa kanilang hanay lalo at may banta ngayon ng Omicron variant.
Batay sa datos ng Department of Health (DOH) mayroon ng 14 na Omicron variant cases na naitala sa bansa.
Inihayag din ng heneral, na ipagpapatuloy din ng PNP ang pagbibigay ng booster shots sa kanilang mga personnel lalo at nasa mahigit 99% na sa kanilang tauhan ang bakunado kabilang dito ang mga nakatanggap na ng 1st dose.
” We will also continue to administer booster shots to our qualified personnel considering that more than 99% of our personnel are vaccinated including those with their 1st dose,” dagdag pa ni Vera Cruz.
Patuloy naman hihimukin ng PNP ang kanilang mga personnel na hanggang sa ngayon ay mayroon pang vaccine hesitancy.
“Doon naman sa less than 1% namin na still unvaccinated, we will continue to encourage them to take the jab especially now with the emergence of the Omicron variant which is reportedly more transmissible than the Delta,” wika ni Lt. Gen. Vera Cruz.
