Agad nang matatanggap ng mga indibidwal ang resulta ng kanilang COVID-19 test kung sila ay nagpakuha sa Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
Ayon kay PRC chairman Sen. Richard Gordon, binigyan sila ng authorization ng Department of Health (DOH) na maglabas ng COVID-19 test result nang hindi na dumadaan sa validation ng ahensya.
“We welcome the DOH authorization, given the urgency of the situation where more positive COVID cases are recorded in our country. They may have been dangerously increasing community transmission of the disease,” ani Gordon sa isang statement.
Kamakailan kasi nang mag-reklamo ang ilang nagpa-test sa PRC dahil matagal o delayed nilang nakuha ang kanilang COVID-19 test result.
Pinapadala pa kasi ng PRC sa DOH ang napo-produce nilang positive test results, habang sila ang naga-anunsyo sa mga negatibo sa sakit.
“We have devised a mechanism for releasing positive results to the individuals concerned without compromising the necessary protocols.”
Ayon sa opisyal, kaakibat ng gagawin nilang release sa test resulta ang ilan pang proseso, kasabay ng psychological support mula sa kanilang mga doktor.
“Once the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act or Bayanihan 2 is signed into law and implemented, masasabihan na din namin sila kung saang ospital o quarantine facility sila pwedeng pumunta dahil may provision dun na mage-establish ng National Referral System for COVID-19 which will be jointly developed by the DOH and the PRC,” ani Sen. Gordon.
Una nang nilnaw ng DOH na hindi nila hinaharang ang PRC sa paglalabas ng resulta sa COVID-19.
“The Department of Health confirms that the Philippine Red Cross may release both positive and negative results directly to the patients and individuals tested,” ani Sec. Francisco Duque.
