The game is growing and the sports must adapt. This is why the NBA is officially debuting its first-ever In-Season Tournament next season.
Starting November 3, teams will play four group games. All 30 teams were grouped into six based on last season’s regular season ranking.
Two home and two away games will be given to all squads. Top teams from the six groups will advance to the next stage along with the next two teams with the best record.
All eight will be in a single-elimination Knockout Rounds where only four will remain.
The semifinals will then take place in Las Vegas until there’s an NBA Cup champion which will run from December 7-9.
After the championship, the league will then award the Most Valuable Player of the In-Season Tournament as well as the All-Tournament Team.
