Isa ng Severe Tropical Storm category ang bagyong Paeng habang ito ay nasa karagatan ng Virac, Catanduanes.
Ayon sa PAGASA, nakita ang sentro nito sa Virac, Catanduanes na mayroong lakas ng hangin na 95 kilometers per hour at pagbugso ng 130 kph.
May paggalaw ito sa bilis ng 30 kph.
