A lot of Filipino fans woke up early to watch how Kai Sotto will fare against other NBA hopefuls in this year’s Summer League in Las Vegas but things didn’t go well according to expectation.
However, the 7’3″ Filipino suiting up for the Orlando Magic did not play a single second in the game.
Pinoy fans in the venue were also very disappointed as chants “Put Kai in” echoed during the ball game.
There was no reported injury and restriction about Sotto, hence, it was the coach’s decision to not field the young center.
The decision went viral as well on Twitter with his fans showing disappointment in the Magic’s head coach.
Orlando will next play on Tuesday (Philippine Time) at 8:30 a.m. against the Indiana Pacers.
