Binatikos ni Senate President Chiz Escudero si Minority Leader Vicente Sotto III dahil sa pagsuporta nito sa Charter Change (Cha-cha) kasunod sa ruling ng Korte Suprema sa impeachment case ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Inakusahan din ni Escudero si Sotto na pumapanig kay House of Representative Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Paliwanag naman ni Sotto na noon pa man ay kontra ito sa Cha-Cha subalit hindi ito sang-ayon sa impechment provision na nakasaad sa konstitusyon.
Giit ni Sotto na wala itong kinakampihan dahil ang tanging kinakampihan niya ay ang konstitusyon.
