Aabot sa 4,444 ang bilang ng mga bagong tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas, ayon sa bagong data ng Department of Health (DOH).
Dahil dito umakyat na sa 143,749 ang kabuuang numero ng tinamaan ng pandemic na sakit sa bansa mula Enero.
Ang bilang ng mga bagong kaso ay resulta ng pag-uulat ng 91 mula sa 100 laboratoryo. Malaking porsyento nito ang nag-positibo sa nakalipas na 14 na araw, pero may mga naitala rin na noon pang nakalipas na limang buwan nag-positibo.
Pinakamaraming nai-report na bagong COVID-19 case sa National Capital Region, Calabarzon at Central Luzon.
“Of the 4,444 reported cases today, 3,294 (74%) cases occurred within the recent 14 days (July 30-August 12, 2020). The top regions with cases from the recent two weeks were from NCR (1,855 or 57%), Region 4A (580 or 18%) and Region 3: 190 (6%).”
Sa ngayon 72,348 pa ang nagpapagaling na confirmed patients o active cases.
Samantala, 636 na bagong recoveries din ang inireport ng DOH kaya ang total ng mga gumaling ay 68,997. Pero 93 naman ang nadagdag sa death toll, na ngayon ay umaabot na sa 2,404.
“Of the 93 deaths, 13 (14%) in August, 49 (53%) in July, 30 (32%) in June, and 1 (1%) in May. Deaths were from Region 7 (67 or 72%), NCR(16 or 17%), Region 9 (3 or 3%), Region 6 (2 or 2%), Region 5 (2 or 2%), Region 11 (2 or 2%), and Region 4A (1 or 2%).”
Sa mga duplicates, 231 ang tinanggal ng DOH, kung saan siyam ang galing total recoveries at isa ang galing death toll.
“In addition, two (2) cases were found to be negative and were removed from the total case count after final validation. Moreover, we updated the health status of the 62 cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths (60) and active (2) cases.”
