Mananatili raw na available sa publiko ang kopya ng Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) ni Vice President Leni Robredo, sa kabila ng bagong kondisyon ng Office of the Ombudsman.
Sa isang panayam sinabi ni Atty. Barry Gutierrez, tagapagsalita ni VP Leni, na bibigyan pa rin nila ng kopya ng SALN ng pangalawang pangulo ang sino mang magre-request, basta’t naka-ayon ito sa Konstitusyon at Republic Act No. 6713.
Nakasaad sa isang Ombudsman Memorandum Circular na may petsang September 1, na kailangan may “consent” o alam ng may-ari ng SALN ang request bago ito ma-evaluate ng anti-graft court.
Ilan sa mga kondisyon para sa magre-request na nakapaloob sa naturang memorandum ay:
- he/she is the declarant or the duly authorized representative of the declaran;
- the request is upon lawful order of the court in relation to a pending case; and
- the request is made by the Ombudsman’s Field Investigation Office/Bureau/Unit (FIO/FIB/FIU) for the purpose of conducting fact-finding investigation.
Ang SALN ay report na naglalaman nang halaga ng mga pag-aari, utang at financial/business interests ng mga pampublikong opisyal at kanilang pamilya.
Sa ilalim ng RA No. 6713 o Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, public officials and employees, obligado ang mga nabanggit na pampublikong kawani na maghain ng kanilang SALN para sa kabatiran ng publiko.
“In the case of the President, the Vice-President, the Members of the Cabinet, the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Commissions and other constitutional offices, and officers of the armed forces with general or flag rank, the declaration shall be disclosed to the public in the manner provided by law,” nakasaad sa Chapter 9, Section 34 ng Administrative Code of 1987 Book 1.
Batay sa mga lumabas nang ulat sa kopya ng 2019 SALN ni Robredo, tumaas pa ang kanyang net worth sa P3.5-million mula sa P2.3-million noong 2018.
