Mananatili sa 70 percent ang pinapahintulutang passenger capacity sa lahat ng mga tren sa Metro Manila kahit pa simula bukas, Enero 3, ay ilalagay na ulit ang National Capital Region sa ilalim ng Alert Level 3.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), patuloy pa rin naman ang pagpapatupad sa mga health protocols sa tuwing sasakayan sa mga tren at gagamit sa iba pang rail facilities tulad ng mga estasyon at depots, at magsasagawa rin ng random antigen tests sa mga pasahero.
“As recommended by our railways sector, all rail lines will maintain the present 70% passenger capacity under the Alert Level 3 status, provided that strict health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be enforced,” ayon kay Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade.
“This is to avoid the ‘bottlenecking’ or crowding of passengers at stations, which may increase the risk of virus transmission,” dagdag pa niya.
Nabatid na simula bukas hanggang sa Enero 15, 2022 ay ilalagay ulit ang Metro Manila sa Alert Level 3 kasunod na rin nang pagtaas ng mga naitalang bagong COVID-19 infections sa bansa.
Sinabi ni Tugade na anumang pagbabago sa passenger capacity ay magiging subject sa guidance ng IATF.
