On Mother’s Day, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte expressed their gratitude and paid tribute to mothers’ selfless love, sacrifices, and the lessons they impart to their children to make the world a better place.
“I wish each and every mum a day full of the love, happiness, and appreciation they deserve. Happy Mother’s Day!” Marcos said on Instagram.
Duterte emphasized in her speech the sacrifice of moms and how their love encourages kids to dream and work toward their goals.
“Everything that mothers do reminds us what it is to be selfless. They ask for so little and yet they give so much,” she said.
“Their sacrifices and unconditional love have molded us to become the persons that we are today and what we will become in the future — inspiring us to dream and encouraging us to pursue these dreams,” adding that Mother’s sacrifices ang unconditional love have molded us to become the persons that we are today and what will become in the future.
