Nagtapos bilang Top 12 finalist si Pinay beauty queen Asia Rose Simpson sa Miss World 2026, na naganap kahapon, September 5, sa Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Narito ang listahan ng mga kandidata na nakapasok sa Top 6:
- Eritrea — Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin (People’s Choice winner)
- Malaysia — Taanusiya Chetty (Beauty With a Purpose winner)
- Vietnam — Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc
- Dominican Republic — Joheirry Mola Dominguez
- Spain — Elisabeth Reynés Alabern
- South Africa — Romanda Hombir
Bago pa man ianunsyo ang Top 6 finalist ay nabigyan muna ng pagkakataon ang Top 12 finalists na sumagot sa question and answer portion sa tanong na, ““You’re representing the most populated and varied region in this competition. What’s one thing about where you come from that you want the rest of the world to understand, and how does that show up in the way you carry this title?”
Ito naman ang kanyang naging tugon, ““We speak about diversity, and I am half Filipino, half American, so I know what it is like to represent two sides of a coin. In my country, we are known for resilience. We are known for hospitality, but I know them for the love of family, and the core of any family unit is unity. If I were to bring one value from my country to the world, it would be unity. This world has united 111 countries from around the globe, so I think that this is just the start.”
Kahangahanga naman ang ipinakita ng pambato ng Pilipinas matapos niyang irampa ang kanyang dazzling radiant rose gown sa opening ceremony ng Miss World 2026 Finals. Ang gown ay lotus-inspired evening gown at mula sa disensyo ng designer na si Ryan Ablaza Uson. Kung saan ito ay sumisimbolo sa beauty, purity, at resilience ng lotus flower.
Isa ring statement piece ang gown ni Simpson sa kanyang beauty pageant journey. Samantala itinanghal naman ang Pinay beauty queen bilang Top 3 sa pageant’s talent competition.
