Pinuri ni Senate committee on national defense chairman Sen. Panfilo Lacson ang ginawang paghingi ng public opinion ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ukol sa Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) abrogation.
Ayon kay Lacson, isang pagpapakita ng kababaang loob ng isang lider ang pakikinig sa pananaw ng nakararami.
Para sa senador, walang mawawala sa pagkuha ng opinyon ng iba, at sa halip ay makakatulong pa ito para sa mas maayos na pagpapasya.
Ang mahalaga aniya ay ang national interest, dignidad at respeto sa sarili.
“There you go! Nobody has the monopoly of wisdom regardless of power and authority. The best decisions are those made not out of hubris, but the humility of listening to as many people and trying to get a bit of what they have to say.
