“My memo was in reference to the 30% bed allocation for Covid positive patients as mandated by DOH whice we have complied,” ani CGHCM medical director Dr. Samuel Ang sa liham na ipinadala kay Health Sec. Francisco Duque.
“This is because we do our own PCR testing with our own Molecular Laboratory. This triggers admissions even in patients with mild symptoms.”
“We want to reserve our Covid wards for the more symptomtic patients requiring immediate medical care.”
“This support from the Government has provided tremendous effect on the morale of our hospital staff.”
“So if they declare that they have full capacity or the percentage of beds occupied in hospitals for COVID are high, we have to remember that these are just the assigned dedicated beds for COVID and not the entire hospital capacity.”
