Hinimok ni AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) chief of staff Gen. Cirilito Sobejana ang mga bagong promote nilang opisyal na gamitin ang kanilang ranggo bilang inspirasyon sa kanilang performance sa kanilang trabaho.
Nitong nakalipas na Biyernes nang pinangunahan ni Sobejana ang tinatawag na donning of ranks sa kanilang apat na newly-promoted senior officers.
Promoted bilang two star general ang chief, Office of the Internal Auditor na si M/Gen. Henry Doyaoen.
Promoted naman bilang one star general sina: B/Gen. Augusto Gaite, Chief AFP Real Estate Office; B/Gen. Ferdinand Razalan, Assistant Deputy Chief for Reservist and Retiree Affairs; at B/Gen. Robert Velasco, commander Joint Task Force-Malampaya.
Mensahe ni Sobejana sa mga newly-promoted generals ng AFP, malaki ang inaasahan sa kanila ng buong hukbo lalo na at malaking responsibilidad ang kaakibat sa kanilang mga bagong posisyon ngayon.
“‘Your promotions not only exemplify your personal achievements, but also signify the added responsiblity and higher expectation to continuosly uphold our mandate and perform excellently for the good of our country and people,” ani Sobejana.
Dagdag nito, “May the responsibility that comes with this achievement not become a burden to you, but rather motivate and inspire you more to work even harder as senior trusted officers of the AFP.”
Binati ni Sobejana ang mga opisyal at sinasabing umaasa siya na mas pagbubutihin pa ng mga ito ang kanilang trabaho.
“Continue to carry out your jobs with the highest standards of excellence and professionalism you have shown and demonstrated throughout your military carreers and epitomize the core values of Honor, Service, and Patriotism.”
Ang donning of rank ay matagal ng tradisyon sa military.
Nagpapahiwatig din ito ng “development and readiness” ng isang opisyal na humawak ng mas mataas na responsibilidad kaya tumataas din ang tiwala at kumpiyansa ng organisasyon sa karapat-dapat na opisyal.
