Kinumpirma ngayon ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na maliban sa 600,000 doses ng Sinovac vaccines bukas, darating na rin sa bansa 525,600 doses ng AstraZeneca vaccines sa Lunes, Marso 1, 2021.
Sinabi ni Sec. Roque, bandang tanghali ang dating ng mga nasabing bakuna na bahagi ng unang batch ng allocated doses mula sa COVAX facility.
Ayon kay Sec. Roque, ito ay bahagi ng 44 million doses ng COVAX para bakunahan ang 20 percent ng ating populasyon.
Inihayag ni Sec. Roque na nagpapasalamat sila sa World Health Organization (WHO), Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) at sa United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
“We are pleased to inform that the Philippines will receive 525,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines on Monday, March 1, 2021, around noontime, as part of the first round of allocated doses from the COVAX facility. This forms part of the 44 million doses of COVAX to inoculate 20% of our population. We thank the World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) towards this end,” ani Sec. Roque.
