Nagtapos ng kursong specialization in human–computer interaction sa Stanford University si Tesler.
Ayon sa mga published articles, na-imbento ni Tesler ang gamit na gamit ngayon na “cut and paste command” dahil sa tradisyonal na pagpuputol sa mga parte ng printed text para idikit gamit ang adhesive tape.
“Tesler created the idea of ‘cut, copy, & paste’ and combined computer science training with a counterculture vision that computers should be for everyone,” ayon sa Computer History Museum Twitter page.
