Pinaiimbestigahan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang umano’y anomalya sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, inatasan ni Pangulong Duterte si Undersecretary Jesus Melchor Quitain of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon.
Ayon kay Roque, seryoso ang mga paratang ni Thorrsson Montes Keith na malawakang korupsyon sa PhilHealth kaya ito nagbitiw sa pwesto.
Una ng itinanggi ni Philhealth president Ricardo Morales ang alegasyong malawakang korupsyon o irregularidad sa government corporation.
“The Palace confirms that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has ordered an investigation into the alleged anomalies surrounding the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth). The Chief Executive has asked Undersecretary Jesus Melchor Quitain of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President to conduct the probe on PhilHealth,” ani Sec. Roqyue. “This representation likewise confirms having personally received a copy of the resignation letter of PhilHealth anti-fraud legal officer, Mr. Thorrsson Montes Keith.”
