Isasama ng House Committees on Legislative Franchises at Good Government and Public Accountability sa franchise application ng ABS-CBN ang umano’y condonation ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) sa mga loans ng ABS-CBN Corp.
Sa pagdinig ng dalawang komite nitong araw, sinabi ni Dumper party-list Rep. Claudine Bautista na ang Lopez Incorporated, kabilang ang Lopez Holdings Corp., ay nagbenepisyo sa malaking condonation na ginawa ng DBP sa mga loans ng ABS-CBN Corp, na nagkakahalaga sa P1.6 billion.
“I move that this committee include this matter as one of the issues to be tackled specifically whether or not ABS-CBN and the Lopez group of companies unjustly benefited from the loans condoned by the DBP to the prejudice of this government,” ani Bautista.
Pinaiimbitahan naman din ni Bautista sa susunod na pagdinig ang mga kinatawan mula sa DBP para tumestigo sa diskusyon gayundin ang magsumite ng lahat ng karampatang dokumento hinggil sa naturang usapin.
