Inaalam na ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang sanhi ng aksidenteng ikinasugat ng 19 na Pilipino sa Italy.

Batay sa ulat ng Philippine Embassy sa Rome, isinugod sa ospital ang mga siyam sa mga ito matapos maaksidente ang isang pampublikong sasakyan.

Naganap ang aksidente sa kahabaan ng Via Cassia road sa hilagang bahagi ng city capital.

“Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Candy S. Cypres-Bauzon reported that the Embassy was able to identify and obtain the contact details of the 19 injured Filipinos. Nine were interviewed, all of whom said have received immediate medical attention. They also claimed to have suffered muscle trauma. Three of them sustained wounds on the forehead while two had fractures on their shoulder and leg. According to doctors who evaluated the Filipinos, no one was critically injured,” ayon sa DFA.

Nagtamo ng sugat sa noo ang tatlo sa mga Pilipinong biktima, habang nabalian sa balikat at leeg ang dalawang iba pa.

“Latest updates will be provided, once they become available. The Embassy stands ready to provide the necessary assistance to the Filipinos,” ayon sa Embahada.
