The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) offers volunteer jobs to Taal Volcano eruption victims in Batangas particularly in rehabilitation and relief efforts to areas severely damaged by the explosion.
According to the Labor Department, those who will avail for the internship jobs will receive minimum wage salary prevailing in Batangas which is P400 a day.
DOLE Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said, they have already met with the mayors of 10 towns mostly affected in Batangas to discuss the volunteer jobs especially in providing assistance to other victims remaining in evacuation centers.
The volunteers will be issued certification from the local government units (LGUs) in lieu of their school or other personal records they left during evacuation.
