Kinumpirma ni Senador Panfilo Lacson na naipasakamay na ng kaniyang team ang mga ebidensiyang nakalap sa umano’y anomaliya sa infrastructure projects sa Taguig City, na balwarte ni Senate Minority Leader Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
Ayon sa senador, ang Ombudsman ang magsasagawa ng karagdagang evaluation at ‘motu propio’ investigation sa lahat ng mga nakalap na documentary at testimonial evidence gayundin ang official records mula sa government websites at iba pa na mula sa reliable sources.
Tinitignan aniya nila ang posibilidad ng kasong plunder, malversation, at paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act laban sa mga responsable sa mga maanomaliyang proyekto.
“Just as we thought last year that Bulacan was the microcosm of flood control project anomalies, Taguig is something else – employing old and new tricks, like passing off an illegal reclamation project as slope protection structures with several ghost projects, cases of double appropriations, recycled photos belonging to past and already completed contracts to bill and collect for new ones – all controlled by one person, dating as far back as 2019,” pahayag ni Sen. Lacson sa X.
Saad pa ng senador na mula 2020 hanggang 2025 lamang, nakakulimbat ang Taguig ng P14.4 bilyong halaga ng infrastructure projects.
“We hope the excellent research and investigative work that my staff did in this regard won’t be wasted and will contribute to the Ombudsman’s efforts to expedite their investigation,” ani Lacson.
Ipagpapatuloy umano ng kampo ng senador ang pagsusumite ng mga piraso ng ebidensiya sa Ombudsman para sa laban kontra korapsiyon.
