MANILA – Sa ikatlong sunod na araw, muling nakapagtala ang Department of Health (DOH) ng mababa sa 1,000 na bilang ng mga bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
Batay sa pinakabagong case bulleting ng ahensya, 937 ang bilang ng mga bagong nag-positibo sa coronavirus. Kaya naman sumirit pa sa 479,693 ang total cases.
Pero hindi pa raw kasali rito ang report ng siyam na laboratoryo.
“9 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on January 4, 2021.”
Paliwanag ng Health department, patuloy ang decreasing trend sa bilang ng new cases dahil nabawasan din ang bilang ng mga nagpapa-test sa coronavirus.
“The DOH reminds the public to be cautious in interpreting these numbers as an increase in cases in the coming weeks is still possible.”
“The DOH continues to assess the extent of the effects of the holiday season on COVID-19 trasnmission. The DOH asks all stakeholders to be vigilant in guarding against complacency in the fight against COVID-19.”
Pinakamataas ang bilang ng mga bagong kaso ng sakit na naitala sa Davao City, na nasa 85. Sumunod ang Isabela (54), Agusan del Sur (49), Pampanga (48), at Misamis Occidental (43).
Nasa 21,997 pa ang mga nagpapagaling o active cases. Ang total recoveries naman, aabot na sa 448,375 dahil sa 114 na bagong gumaling.
Habang 9,321 na ang total deaths dahil sa nadagdag na 58 bagong namatay.
“5 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 4 recovered cases have been removed.”
“Moreover, 14 cases previously tagged as recovered was reclassified as deaths.”
