LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the biggest names in the 57 finalists for the USA Olympic Men’s Basketball Team.
The roster grew as NBA added 15 more players to the initial 42 players in the pool.
If listed in the final 12-man roster, James will be playing for his fourth Olympic games, tying his buddy Carmelo Anthony to be announced later in the year.
Along with James eyeing the feat is veteran Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns, also included in the finalists.
James and Paul had shared the court several times in the All-Star and on the international stage.
Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs will be the head tactician for the squad. Popovich also served as the head coach of the men’s team in the previous FIBA World Cup.
Here are the lists of the 15 players added: Jarrett Allen, Eric Gordon, John Wall, Christian Wood, Jerami Grant, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Jrue Holiday, Zach LaVine, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, Duncan Robinson, Fred VanVleet, Zion Williamson, and Trae Young.
Team USA has won 15 gold medals in the Olympics on their 18 appearances.
