Tinatayang 5,448 bahay na para sana sa mga personnel ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police sa Batangas, Laguna, Cavite at Quezon Province, ang ibibigay na lang muna ng pamahalaan para sa mga naapektuhan ng pagputok ng Bulkang Taal.
Inaaprubahan ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa isinagawang Cabinet meeting kagabi matapos ipanukala ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.
Batay sa pag-uulat ni Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Sec. Eduardo del Rosario, nasa 5,000 hanggang 6,000 households na nasa 7-kilometer radius ang naapektuhan ng pagputok ng bulkan.
Maliban pa rito ang nasa 2,000 bahay na nasa mismong paligid ng Bulkang Taal.
“Furthermore, Secretary Del Rosario discussed the proposed permanent shelter sites for internally displaced families affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano. According to him, 5,000-6,000 households stand to be affected by the evacuation from a radius of 7 kilometers from the volcano, with the island of Taal itself housing 2,000 families,” ani Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo.
