In response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call for clean, honest, and peaceful elections, the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office has activated its Election Command Center at TechZone, Makati City.

Fully operational from May 11 at 1:00 PM until May 13 at 5:00 PM, the Command Center ensures a 24/7 rapid-response system to support teaching and non-teaching personnel participating in the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).

“The Department is steadfast in protecting our teachers and ensuring they are never alone in carrying out this vital civic duty,” Education Secretary Sonny Angara stated. “With the full support of the President and the trust of the Filipino people, we are prepared to assist, respond, and uphold the integrity of this election.”

Serving as the national coordination hub of the DepEd Election Task Force (ETF), the Command Center operates with the backing of DepEd’s Central Office, Regional Offices, and Schools Division counterparts. For the first time, the ETF is utilizing a dedicated budget under the General Appropriations Act, amounting to Php 99.3 million to reinforce the Department’s election-related operations.

The ETF has deployed specialized teams across the country for real-time monitoring, legal support, hotline assistance, incident response, and post-election reporting. These teams are tasked with safeguarding personnel welfare, coordinating with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and ensuring swift resolution of field issues.
