Iprinisinta ngayon ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang binuong National Action Plan (NAP) kaugnay sa paglaban sa coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).
Nakapaloob ito sa Resolution No. 15 ng IATF na binasa ni Cabinet Sec. Karlo Nograles sa isinagawang “Virtual Presser” sa Malacañang ngayong hapon.
Batay sa National Action Plan, bubuuin ang isang National Task Force COVID-19 para maibsan ang binabalikat ng IATF at tumutuok na lamang ito sa policy-making sa mga operasyon laban sa COVID-19.
Ang NTF COVID-19 ay magsisilbing operational command na pamumunuan ng Secretary of National Defense (SND) habang ang National Incident Command (NIC) ay mangangasiwa sa kada araw na concerns at operasyon sa paglaban ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Nakapaloob din sa resolusyon ang pag-aatas sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) na maglipat ng P420,585 million sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) para magamit sa pag-cover ng mga COVID-19-related packages.
“Mga kababayan, this is a war that will be fought on many fronts, and your cooperation and support are crucial in our efforts to beat Covid-19 and to save lives. Whatever our disagreements, whatever our misunderstandings, what is not debatable is this: the enemy is COVID-19 ––and we have a greater chance of defeating the enemy if we work together and lift each other up rather than pull each other down,” ani Sec. Nograles.
May guidelines din sa pangangasiwa sa mga bangkay ng mga nasawi sa COVID-19 kung saan local government units (LGUs) ang pipili ng funeral service facilities at magbibigay ng financial assistance sa logistics, fuel at gastusing kinakailangan sa pagpapalibing.
Inaatasan din ang LGUs at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) na i-monitor at parusahan ang mga funeral homes na tatanggi sa pagbibigay ng logistics at transport sa bangkay ng nasawi sa COVID-19.
